Lectures in Liptovsky Mikulas

Graham and Amaryllis Stock, Mark and Rachel Bartlett, Roger and Susan Brind, Paul and Sally Thomas, Derek and Margaret Ford and Lesley Miller support the work in Slovakia.

The focus of our work in Slovakia was the International Camp in Liptovsky Mikulas in the summer of 2008 and visits to the Assembly in Krpelany.

Roger reports on the camp in Slovakia, “The international camp was based in Slovak town in the north of the country. Once again believers from Central and Eastern European countries came together for two weeks of bible study, seminars, study groups, times of fellowship and relaxation.

“Christian fellowship and true friendships across borders and the language divide is always a high point of any year in our service. It was great to meet up with fellow believers from many parts of Central and Eastern Europe for two weeks of intensive bible study. Their enthusiasm for the study of the scriptures, deep desire to be more effective for the Lord and joy in fellowship with fellow believers is a real tonic.”

Assembly in Krpelany
Paul, Mark and Roger also visited the assembly at Krpelany for Bible teaching. The believers really value these visits and invited other believers from the surrounding Assemblies at Martin and Turany to join with them and so there were large numbers each evening.

Two of “our campers”, Simon and Lyndsey Marcu, have moved to Bratislava the capital and have joined an English speaking fellowship. They are very keen for help there and so we are planning to visit them during the course of next year.
